Gaaaaahhhh, this is a good album. I know I say that about everything I post, but Huggable Dust is extra good. It's singer/song writer acoustic shit, but it goes beyond that. Like I always say, just listen to it.
Ahhhhh, don't you love cheesy 90's cover art? Anyway, Disembodied pretty much pioneered metalic harcore during the 90's, and this IS the heaviest album I have ever heard. I love everything about this album. There really isn't anything that sounds like it in my opinion. If you are a fan of metallic harcore and you have not listened to this album, you are pretty much an asshole.
Well I have to give these guys props for making one of the more "unique" math-rock albums I have heard. Musically, Them, Roaring Twenties just sounds like Piglet and bands in the same vain, but this album incorporates spastic, babbaling vocals that are heavily auto-tuned. I'm sure if it is awesome, or just annoying. You decide.
I like this album alot. It is just a pleasant listen. I hate to label this album as "noise-pop" since it really isnt that noisey compared to Deerhunters other releases. It is more just indy-poppy stuff with noise elements. It's good.
God, I love this band so much. Well mainly just this E.P. Although their full length "In Shame" just sounds like generic hardcore, "The Youth Is Sick" is amazing. This album has maybe the heaviest intro of all time. And aside from Ceremony, this band has some of my favorite vocals in a hardcore band. Just listen to it.
Finially a full length! Real good Shoe-gazy stuff. One of the members has a guitar pedal company. Check it out. Trent Reznor uses their pedals so they must be good.....lolzlolzlolzlolz. Anyway.......
This is the since diseased Botch's best release. Mathcore at its finest. The track "afghamistam" is one of my favortie songs of all time, though it doesn't sound like anything else Botch has ever recorded. Hmmmm maybe I'll upload a full length soon.....
Math-core band from my hometown, Spokane. They have gone through 3 vocalists now, but in my opinion their first was the best. So that's why I present you with the Snake Eyes E.P. which features their first vocalist.
No corolation with blog title. This is just straight sludgey/crusty/noisey goodness. Saw these guys a few months ago and they were fucking insane. They are coming again this week and I am stoked.
Great demo from math-rock band The Speed of Sound in Sea Water from Sacramento. These guys are pretty young so all the more reason you should be more impressed. Enjoy.
